This Spring Break I'd decided to move around the South-East of the United States, mostly checking out Civil War memorials at Vicksburg and Shiloh. Along the way I stopped at State or National Parks. The next destination was The Great Smokey Mountains at Tennessee which spread well into North Carolina. From there I headed homewards, finally....

Mario was my constant companion throughout this journey. We drove exactly 2847.7 miles across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas in approximately 9 days.
and then i headed home before leaving for Baton Rouge again.
3rd April, Saturday: Baton Rouge, Vicksburg, Jeff Busby.
4th April, Sunday: Natchez Trail, Shiloh.
5th April, Monday: DeSoto State Park, Little River National Park, March towards Cloudland Canyon.
6thApril, Tuesday: Cloudland Canyon, March towards The Great Smoky Mountains, Russell Cave: Pre-historic site.
7thApril, Wednesday: The Great Smoky Mountains.
8thApril, Thursday: The Great Smoky Mountains.
9th April, Friday: The Great Smoky Mountains, March towards St. Louis via Kentucky and S. Illinois.
10thApril, Saturday: St Louis, home.
11th April, Sunday: March to Baton Rouge via Mississippi and Arkansas.
